Position Overview:
As a Captain Waiter at Amar Restaurants, you will be at the forefront of our service operations, ensuring that every guest enjoys a seamless and delightful dining experience. You will lead by example, coordinating the efforts of the waitstaff, and collaborating closely with the kitchen and management teams to maintain our high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support the waitstaff in delivering top-notch service to guests, ensuring that each table is attended to promptly and efficiently.
- Oversee the setup and presentation of dining areas, ensuring they meet the restaurant's aesthetic and cleanliness standards.
- Handle guest inquiries and special requests with professionalism and courtesy, enhancing the overall dining experience.
- Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery, addressing any discrepancies or delays promptly.
- Train and mentor new and existing waitstaff, fostering a team environment that emphasizes cooperation and excellence.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels of service-related supplies, alerting management of any shortages or needs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike.
- Facilitate effective communication between the front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Captain Waiter or similar role in a high-volume, upscale dining environment.
- Strong command of Arabic and English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional leadership abilities, with a passion for mentoring and developing team members.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to handle challenging situations with grace and efficiency.
